Our Impact
We have been providing school supplies and backpacks to the Central Florida community, donating to various organizations for the past 15+ years. These efforts have helped thousands of under-resourced students increase their confidence about their futures. Basic school supplies provide much needed structure to learning. Beyond listening to the teacher, proper supplies enable students to be active participants in the educational process. But it’s more than just school supplies for us.
New Image Youth Center
This year’s backpack drive will benefit New Image Youth Center (NIYC). In 2023, the DPR Orlando Office committed to helping NIYC further their mission of changing the path of at-risk youth through education and example. For almost 20 years, New Image Youth Center has been providing a safe place for youth to dream while fostering academic, social, physical, and mental well-being. They offer comprehensive after-school and summer camp programs for students in the Parramore area of Orlando and surrounding neighborhoods. In recent years, they have successfully launched a tutoring support program, a male mentoring program, and a mobile outreach program. Their loving and supporting environment has led to dozens of high school, post-secondary school and college graduates, and one PhD graduate.
